Welcome to our Stafford County Special Education Parent Teacher Association (SEPTA) webpage. SEPTAs help meet our needs by bringing together people who have an interest in special education and providing a forum for them to share their experiences and learn from others experiences.
The Stafford Special Education Parent Teacher Association (SEPTA) exists to promote the welfare of students who are differently abled, in home, school, and community; to raise the standards of school and home life and to secure adequate laws for the care, protection and equal education of students with differing abilities. SEPTA strives to bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may collaborate in the education of students who are differently abled, to support them in becoming confident, competent and successful individuals, who are prepared for further education, employment, and independent living.
Benefits of a SEPTA:
Create a community of people with similar interests and needs
- Create an environment of acceptance
- Create a collaborative relationship with the parents, administration and school staff
- Provide a solid support system for parents and schools
- Provide a platform for sharing of lessons learned, useful strategies, and community resources in one place
We will be conducting fun workshops and events throughout the year to help serve the needs of our members. In the spirit of our SEPTA mission, we are looking forward to building a supportive and collaborative community in which to ensure our childrenʻs success.
Also, please visit and join our SEPTA Facebook page to learn about upcoming events and opportunities for you to become involved in helping us reach our goals.
