Stafford County SEPTA Awards 14 iPads to Special Education Teachers
Stafford, VA – November, 3, 2014
The Stafford County Special Education PTA (SEPTA) is awarding 14 Special Education Teachers with iPad Minis on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 5:45 pm at the Stafford Hospital Center Conference Room. The SEPTA held a Music Benefit in June this year and sought donations over the last several months from the local Stafford community raising enough to donate the technology for our Special Education classrooms.
The SEPTA wanted to contribute to the community in a meaningful way and build a stronger bridge between parents, teachers, educators, and our special needs students. Over 40 local merchants as well as local community organizations donated money and time for this cause.
About SEPTA (Mission):
The Stafford Special Education Parent Teacher Association (SEPTA) exists to promote the welfare of students who are differently abled, in home, school, and community; to raise the standards of school and home life and to secure adequate laws for the care, protection and equal education of students with differing abilities. SEPTA strives to bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may collaborate in the education of students who are differently abled, to support them in becoming confident, competent and successful individuals, who are prepared for further education, employment, and independent living.
